Formed in June 2002, Carrowmore Archers is a Voluntary Organisation that has grown to be a popular club in the Field Archery scene in Ireland. Carrowmore Archers is affiliated to the main Archery Federation in Ireland the Irish Field Archery Federation (I.F.A.F.).

We have been very fortunate to obtain club facilities within the grounds of the Percival Family Estate of Temple House. Roderick Percival has been very generous to make space available for us to put up an indoor and outdoor shoot area for practice plus a full 20-target 3D Field Archery Course in a fabulous deciduous woodlands.

Our member numbers reached 70+ in 2008 making us the largest IFAF affiliated club in Ireland but have fallen considerably since currently standing at 28.  This was mainly due to us not having at our previous site an indoor facility and losing our 3D course for a year due to forestry work. This resulted in us finding our current location with a long-term agreement. We are always welcoming more people to the Have-A-Go sessions to see if the sport would be of interest and we work closely with the Sligo Sports Disability Partnership.
