As you may already know, to be a member of Carrowmore Archers, it is compulsory to be a member of I.F.A.F. (I.F.A.F. being the governing body for all field archery clubs in both Southern and Northern Ireland and is affiliated to the I.F.A.A.)
On becoming a member of I.F.A.F. you will be given a membership card which serves two purposes:
Firstly as a means of identification
Secondly that you are fully insured to shoot at any I.F.A.F. event at any affiliated ground.
(N.B. I.F.A.F. Insurance does not cover you if you are shooting in your own garden or any other lands that are not recognised as I.F.A.F. Club Grounds.)
Please can all members upon recieving their affiliation cards, ensure to carry them at all times when attending all archery activities whether it be at practice sessions, club shoots or competitions. You will be asked to produce your affiliation card not only at other club events but also at Temple House.
A signing in book is in use at our club for all activities, which in the indoor shoot area. Generally an official of the club will take responsibility to ensure you sign in at events, eg at practice sessions and club shoots. If however you are shooting on the course not at an organised event eg simply for practice you must sign in. (You will be asked to produce your I.F.A.F. Card).
This safeguards not only yourself, as someone is aware you are on the course in the event of an accident but also ensures that only people who are members of the club who are insured are using the clubs facilities.
Please note, only Senior members of the club can use the grounds at any time. Juniors and Cubs must be supervised at all times by an authorised parent or guardian.
